Terms of Service
Last updated: 10 August 2026
1. Who we are and acceptance
Algeist (the "Service") is operated by a UK-based provider. These Terms govern your access to and use of the Service at algeist.com, including the self-serve SaaS, the demo account, the trial, and the managed outreach services. By creating an account, using the Service, or accepting a managed engagement, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you are entering into these Terms on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity.
2. The Service
Algeist provides two ways to use the Service. The self-serve SaaS lets you build and run outreach campaigns through our dashboard, with personalization, send automation, reply triage, and reporting. Managed outreach is a service delivered under a separate engagement agreement that describes scope, volume, and fees; the terms that apply to your use of the platform apply equally to managed engagements.
The demo account is a free, pre-seeded sandbox for exploring the Service without signing up or connecting your own accounts. The trial is a 7-day trial of a paid plan with no card required, starting when you activate it.
3. Accounts and acceptable use
You must provide accurate, real information when creating an account and keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for everything done through your account. Each user needs their own account; accounts may not be shared between people or organisations.
You may not resell, sublicense, or white-label the Service (except under a written agency agreement with us), and you may not use the Service to break the law, violate the rights of others, or send abusive, unlawful, or spam content. You warrant that you have the rights and permissions needed for any data you import into or send through the Service, including the lawful basis for contacting the recipients you target.
4. Fees, billing and cancellation
The Service is billed per user per month on the plan you choose (Starter, Pro, or Scale), with annual billing available at a discount. Fees are charged in advance and are non-refundable except where required by law. If you activate the trial, you will be billed automatically at the end of the 7-day period unless you cancel beforehand. Managed engagements are billed under the terms of their engagement agreement (setup fee and monthly retainer, invoiced with stated payment terms).
Email lookup credits work on a monthly allowance included with your plan. A credit is consumed only when an email lookup succeeds; if a lookup misses, the credit is refunded to your allowance. Unused credits do not carry over to the next month.
You may cancel at any time from your account settings or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid period, which will be honoured in full; you keep access until then and are not charged again afterwards.
5. LinkedIn account automation - disclosure, consent and indemnity
Please read this section carefully. It is important that you understand the risk involved in automated LinkedIn outreach.
Algeist runs outreach automation through your own LinkedIn account. LinkedIn's User Agreement currently restricts automated activity, and account suspension is possible if LinkedIn detects it. We mitigate this with conservative volume limits, warm-up, and account-health monitoring, and we offer a fully manual or assisted mode as a zero-risk alternative. We never advise or build limit-bypasses, and we never store your LinkedIn password - credentials, where used, are consumed once to establish a session and discarded.
By enabling LinkedIn automation you acknowledge and accept this risk, and you confirm that you own the decision to automate on your own account. You agree to indemnify Algeist against losses arising from LinkedIn's actions against your account (including restriction or closure), except where caused by our gross negligence. If you choose assisted or manual mode instead, this indemnity does not apply to you. We will re-verify this clause if LinkedIn publishes permissive terms in the future.
6. Data processing
Our roles and obligations are set out in the Privacy Policy. For the outreach data processed on your behalf (leads, their messages and profiles), you are the controller and Algeist is the processor acting on your documented instructions. For your account data, Algeist is the controller. Lead and outreach data is retained for 24 months after the end of your contract, then deleted unless the law requires longer. Opt-out requests are honoured within 24 hours: the lead is suppressed immediately and no further messages are sent.
7. Intellectual property and acceptable content
You retain ownership of the content you upload, import, or generate through the Service. You grant us a licence to process that content solely to provide the Service to you, and to use aggregated, anonymised data to improve the Service. You may not send content that is unlawful, defamatory, infringing, deceptive, or designed to evade platform rules. Lead data processed through the Service is never sold or resold to third parties.
The Service itself, including its software, templates, analytics, and branding, is owned by Algeist. We may suspend or remove content that breaches these Terms.
8. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Service is capped at the fees you paid in the 12 months prior to the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, loss of profits, or loss of data.
We are not liable for any action LinkedIn takes against your account (including restriction or closure) arising from your use of the Service, except where caused by our gross negligence. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, and we do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
9. Termination
You may terminate at any time by cancelling your subscription as described in section 4. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if we are required to do so by law, or to protect the integrity or security of the Service. On termination your access ends, outstanding fees remain payable, and we will delete your data in line with our retention obligations.
10. Governing law and contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them, subject to your statutory rights. Questions about these Terms: legal@algeist.com. We may update these Terms; material changes will be notified on the Service and take effect on the date stated.
